CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends. The charity’s aim is to help people live with and beyond their or their loved one’s cancer diagnosis and improve the quality of life for all those who turn to the charity for help and support. The organisation has a staff of 68 comprising full-time and part-time employees and contracted staff, supplemented by a significant community of committed and talented volunteers.

We are looking to appoint a Head of Income Generation and Business Development to make a real impact on the fundraising efforts of this already established, successful and respected charity. In return the appointee will be rewarded by having made a tangible and meaningful contribution to the lives of CLAN’s ‘clients’.

An underdeveloped area of fundraising has been engagement with the corporate community and high net worth individuals that donate based on CSR strategies or personal motivations, respectively. The appointee will be tasked with further developing these areas of potentially compelling fundraising sources to complement the efforts of the existing team. Furthermore, it is believed there is scope to develop the retail and hospitality elements of the fundraising mix.

In addition, a key element of the role will be to further develop and mentor the talented and committed fundraising team to reach their full potential. This must be achieved in a supportive and positive manner and aligned to the values of the organisation.

The opportunity exists to make a real impact on the fundraising efforts of this already established, successful and respected charity. Interested candidates should send their CV, with full remuneration details, to Jemma Knight of FWB Park Brown at This email address is being protected from spambots.
