Scottish Ballet is Scotland's national dance company, established in 1969 by Peter Darrell. The award-winning Company has built its reputation on strong commissioning and ambitious touring, and regularly presents at premier theatres and events such as Sadler's Wells and Edinburgh International Festival as well as leading venues and festivals abroad including Europe, Asia and North America.

Philanthropy forms a key part of Scottish Ballet's Advancement department working alongside the Sponsorship team. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy the Private Giving Executive will play an important part in delivering key fundraising outcomes; engaging with and raising money from private donors. They will develop and nurture the existing active supporter base through regular communications and exclusive donor events; whilst progressively identifying and approaching new donor prospects through reengagement and research. The Private Giving Executive will travel as required to attend events & performances across Scotland, the UK and occasionally beyond.

The successful applicant for this position will have a proven track record of working in a fundraising role, including developing major gifts' strategies. They will be a skilled negotiator, be articulate, enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal skills and have a genuine passion for the arts. The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise appropriately, along with CRM experience, is vital to this role.

The Private Giving Executive should be able to work effectively as part of a team and under their own initiative.
